Sorry to hear that. I know that going away from classic twin-stick shooter towards Vampire-like shooter is the most controversial aspect of this game and not everyone is happy about it.
As for the small planet. At early stage of development I had a similar idea. This would be a unique approach, but it would require more work and would present new problems that can be avoided using the traditional isometric approach.
I'm a single guy developing this game so I've decided to stick with the easier and simpler solution.
In the meantime I encourage you to join my Discord channel (link in the game's description). There I talk about the development of the game and discuss features with other players.
A lot has changed and the new build (which I hope will be ready soon) will have some cool new features :)

Can you do what Code Parade did to make a sphere world?
Not a fan of the vampire survivor timed firing. What about making a small planet so the entire game is on a sphere?

I’m a HUGE fan! I have the number 1 high score on the switch and the number three high score on Steam! (For the original DESTROPOLIS)
I do like how the weapon power ups stack on the new game. I also like how the enemies get armor as the game progresses.
